A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
We retain an email or contact message as needed to answer it. The message remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive certain technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Your device's assigned IP address
- The referring website, when available

- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Bleckley County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to records held by the Bleckley County sheriff, the local courts, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Georgia Crime Information Center, and the Georgia Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person. Georgia criminal-history dissemination is governed in part by O.C.G.A. §§ 35-3-34 and 35-3-35, while qualifying record restriction is addressed by O.C.G.A. § 35-3-37.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and disclosure practices govern the information submitted to them. We do not control those practices, so review the applicable partner policy before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Georgia agency resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's policy controls its collection and use of data. Review that policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising providers may track activity across websites to select targeted advertising. That activity occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
- Advertising networks that serve ads
How We Protect Your Data
We use customary security measures to protect collected information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary based on residence and applicable law. Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 10-1-390 through 10-1-407, provides state consumer-protection rules. The Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 through 50-18-77, governs access to records held by Georgia public agencies, including offices in Bleckley County, but it does not turn this private website's data into a government record. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion of your personal information
- Object to certain processing where the law provides that choice
